Find peace and inspiration with morning yoga & tea This summer, treat yourself to a unique experience that nurtures both body and mind. Chaya invites you to a series of yoga events on the lawn beside Queen Louise’s Tea House in Bernstorff Park. Start your day with a gentle Hatha yoga session, designed to stretch the body, improve balance, and cultivate inner calm.
The yoga classes are led by Anne Christine Hagedorn, an experienced instructor with over 40 years of yoga and spiritual practice. Her approach is mindful, down-to-earth – and often sprinkled with humor. She herself says about her teaching: "A yoga class with me consists of a mixture of physical exercises, breathing exercises and in between meditation. Everyone can participate. It is never about performing difficult positions, but about meeting yourself in a friendly way where you are right now physically and mentally.” Read more about Anne Christine here www.yoga-praxis.dk
After the yoga, we serve matcha iced tea, tea and some healthy snacks on the lawn. You also get a goodie bag to take home with tea, recipes, good tips - and information about Anne Christine's yoga lessons.

Come and experience the many health benefits of matcha – not only as tea, but also as a delicious ingredient in food. Yes, you read that right! The finest quality of green tea, matcha, can be both drunk and eaten. For this event, we will delve into the world of matcha: How it can be enjoyed as a hot beverage, e.g. pure matcha or matcha latte, but also how it can be integrated into cooking. You will hear about the health benefits of both eating and drinking matcha – and get inspiration for exciting combinations. During the event, tea and small, delicious treats with matcha will be served.
The morning will be led by Sara Speyer, co-author of the book Healthy with Matcha in Food. Sara has many years of experience using matcha as a superfood in her own everyday life and for her family. Are you curious about the hidden treasures of Bernstorff Palace Gardens and in need of a day filled with culture and indulgence? Join us for a delightful guided tour, ending with an exclusive Afternoon Tea at Queen Louise’s Tea House.
Our first tour takes place during Easter, when the gardens are in bloom, offering the perfect setting for this unique experience. Led by our knowledgeable guide, Marianne, you’ll embark on a journey through history, exploring Queen Louise’s Tea House and its surroundings. Along the way, you’ll visit the Apple Quarter, the historic Farmhouse, and the charming greenhouse with its stunning Parade House. Discover the park’s hidden gems, learn about its past residents, and hear fascinating stories about Queen Louise and King Christian IX’s influence on the area. The heart of the tour is, of course, Queen Louise’s Tea House and the enchanting Rose Garden.
Following the historical tour, you’ll be treated to a lavish Afternoon Tea – almost exactly as Queen Louise herself would have enjoyed it.
After historical narration, Afternoon Tea is served, almost as Queen Louise had it served, which nicely frames the event. Afternoon Tea consists of one glass of bubbles, tea ad libitum, finger sandwiches, scones and a selection of cakes. We serve tea from silver-plated teapots and porcelain from 1880-1950, so you get the ideal historical experience.
The round trip is approx. 1.5 hours. Remember good moorings as it is hilly terrain.
